Role Overview
At amberstudent.com, our mission is to create engaging and insightful content that serves both B2B and B2C audiences in the student housing industry. We are looking for a Content Writer Apprentice to write high-quality content for amber’s blog page, off-page activities, SEO link-building, script writing, and research-based content for the B2B audience.
This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented writer with 0-1 year of experience in content writing, fair knowledge of B2B marketing channels like LinkedIn, emailer, YouTube, etc. and a basic understanding of SEO. The ideal candidate will craft compelling content across various diverse formats like blogs, newsletters, industry reports, case studies, video scripts, and social media.
Key Responsibilities
Sound understanding of B2B and B2C content writing across multiple formats like blogs, email marketing, etc.
Write research-based B2B industry-oriented blogs for the website.
Help draft captions, short posts, and engagement hooks for LinkedIn posts for Amber’s B2B pages to boost thought leadership and visibility
Draft YouTube scripts for property descriptions and other paid campaigns.
Monitor and report rank tracking across high-priority keywords and regions using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.
Keen eye for business highlights, staying updated with industry news, and strong interest in reading business reports, financial statements, etc.
Track outreach and placement progress via Google Sheets and dashboards to ensure smooth execution.
Stay updated on the latest Google algorithm updates and SERP trends.
Ensure brand positioning and brand guidelines are met.
Set internal standard formats, proofread, and publish content as required.
Maintain a log of work with all details updated regularly.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Marketing or any related field with 0-1 year of internship experience preferred.
Sound understanding of B2B content writing across multiple formats like blogs, email marketing, etc.
Familiarity with on-page SEO and other link-building techniques.
Familiarity with content on platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Enthusiastic, creative mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
Design sensibility, understanding briefs and ability to work collaboratively for cross-team projects.
Familiarity with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and GA4.
Good analytical skills with knowledge of operating Google Sheets
Ability to apply basic & advanced formulas and visual reporting on Google Sheets is an added advantage.
Bonus Points
Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel for maintaining trackers and other analytical tasks.
Analytical mindset and ability to decode numbers.
Should be familiar with Notion.
Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMRush, Google Keyword Planner, Google Search Console
Basic understanding of Content Management Systems like Webflow is an added advantage.
