Application Development Senior Analyst – QA/QE
Position Overview
We are looking to hire a Senior Quality Engineer who is responsible for ensuring end‑to‑end quality of data pipelines, APIs, and databases through a combination of manual and automated testing. The Senior QE works closely with engineering teams in an in‑sprint QE model, applying risk‑based testing and informed judgment to deliver high‑quality data solutions.
Responsibilities
Execute
API and database testing
using a balanced mix of
manual and automated
approaches for data‑driven systems. Build, maintain, and execute
data pipeline testing and validation frameworks
to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Perform
end-to-end data validation
using
Python and SQL
, including reconciliation, business-rule checks, and anomaly detection. Validate data across
PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
, ensuring schema integrity and data quality. Integrate QE activities into
CI/CD pipelines
using
Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps
for timely quality feedback. Conduct
file format validation
for
CSV, JSON, XML, and Parquet
across ingestion and downstream systems. Work within an
in-sprint QE model
, applying sound judgment to choose
automation vs. manual testing
and performing
risk‑based test prioritization
under time constraints.
Qualifications
Required Skills and experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Engineering or related course work
Minimum 3-5 year of experience with Tools: API & DB Testing - Manual & Automation
Experience with Data pipeline testing and validation frameworks : Built/Maintain/Execute
Programming language experience like - Python & SQL
Working experience with DB - PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL
Exposure to DevOps: Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure and File format testing (CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet)
Experience with Agile and Scrum practices.
