Purpose of the Job:
As the IT Project Manager IOT and Business Analyst for MES in APAC, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the current MES infrastructure while spearheading the implementation of a newly acquired MES system. The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of managerial skills, business analysis proficiency, and hands-on experience in MES management and implementation within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage Existing MES:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the current MES to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to maximize system capabilities.
Address and resolve any issues that may arise with the existing MES, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing processes.
MES Implementation:
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the implementation of a newly acquired MES system across the region.
Conduct comprehensive business analysis to understand requirements, identify gaps, and ensure the new MES aligns with business objectives.
Work closely with IT, operations, and other relevant departments to ensure a seamless integration of the new MES into existing manufacturing processes.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior management to align MES strategies with overall business goals.
Develop and implement regional strategies for optimizing MES performance, reducing downtime, and increasing overall productivity.
Business Analysis:
Perform detailed business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications for MES enhancements and new implementations.
Vendor Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with MES vendors and other technology partners.
Performance Monitoring:
Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of the MES systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, IT, etc.).
Proven experience in managing MES (preferably GE Proficy MES) in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated success in leading the implementation of MES systems.
Strong business analysis skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Excellent project management and leadership abilities.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and technology trends.
Effective communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
