Analyst, Direct Tax, Firm Tax
Drive direct tax compliance and reporting activities for the US Firms Tax team while building experience across federal, state, and local partnership tax matters. In this role, you will support return preparation, K-1 reporting, tax research, withholding processes, and audit-related activities in a fast-paced professional services environment. Work you'll do
As an Analyst, Direct Tax on the US India Firms Tax team, you will be responsible for:
Prepare schedules and working papers for US Firms partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns, including partner-related information
Produce and distribute annual partner K-1 packages, including allocations of income, deductions, and separately stated items
Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns, including composite nonresident income tax returns
Perform federal and state tax research and support withholding, estimated payment, and audit-related activities
Assist with workflow management, partner tax elections, tax notice support, and process improvement initiatives
The team
Firm Tax team: This position is a part of the US India Firms Tax team. The Firms Tax team is responsible for ensuring entity level compliances for all the US companies, besides catering to the tax essentials and advise to US companies’ business and enabling functions ecosystems. The team consists of tax professionals with adequate expertise in handling tax matters. This team works in close coordination with the US finance, legal and enabling besides business teams to ensure optimum tax health of the US companies named above.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
1+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or income tax compliance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience supporting federal, state, or local tax return preparation, tax reporting, or tax compliance processes
Preferred:
Advanced degree
Eligibility for Certified Public Accountant or other tax or accounting certification
Experience in a professional services firm
Understanding of federal and state partnership tax compliance, tax research, and tax planning
Tax forecasting or tax planning experience
Experience with partner-level income allocations
