Job Summary:
The
Admissions Counsellor
is the first point of contact for prospective families and plays a key role in shaping the school’s image and enrollment outcomes. This role is responsible for guiding families through the admissions process, from inquiry to enrollment, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience that reflects the school’s values and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospective Family Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective parents and students.
Provide information on curriculum, school culture, policies, tuition, and enrollment procedures.
Conduct campus tours, virtual sessions, open houses, and admissions events.
Develop strong relationships with prospective families to guide them through the decision-making process.
2. Application Process Management
Support applicants through every stage of the admissions process: inquiry, application, assessments/interviews, acceptance, and enrollment.
Coordinate with faculty and leadership to schedule assessments, interviews, and evaluations.
Maintain and update applicant records in the school’s admissions system or CRM.
Track application statuses and follow up regularly to ensure timely completion.
3. Communication & Marketing Support
Collaborate with the marketing team to support outreach campaigns and admissions events.
Ensure consistency in messaging and brand tone across all communication touchpoints.
Assist in the preparation of promotional materials and event planning.
Provide feedback on marketing materials based on interactions with prospective families.
4. Reporting & Data Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inquiries, applications, tours, and enrollments.
Generate regular reports on admissions trends, pipeline status, and conversion metrics.
Identify gaps in the admissions funnel and recommend strategies for improvement.
5. Internal Collaboration
Work closely with academic heads, finance, and administration teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new students.
Assist with orientation programs for newly enrolled families.
Support re-enrollment efforts and alumni relations when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in admissions, sales, customer service, or educational counseling (preferably in an international school setting).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Professional, warm, and approachable demeanor.
High level of cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse communities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM or admissions software systems.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Preferred Attributes:
Familiarity with international curricula (IB, Cambridge, American, etc.).
Knowledge of the local and expatriate education market.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working Hours:
Full-time, typically Monday to Saturday.
Occasional evenings or weekends for events, tours, or open houses.
