We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization's financial health. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver timely and transparent financial reporting while driving continuous improvement in our accounting processes.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly
Collect, organize, and maintain financial documentation and supporting records to meet compliance and audit standards
Prepare and submit periodic tax filings and reports in accordance with Indian accounting regulations, including GST and income tax requirements
Post journal entries and coordinate tax-related adjustments where required
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reported
Identify accounting risks and propose practical process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
Assist with internal and external audits by providing audit-ready documentation and supporting audit inquiries
Collaborate with the finance team to strengthen internal controls over financial transactions and documentation
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures in line with organizational requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles with solid knowledge of Indian accounting standards and regulations
Proficiency with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (such as Tally, SAP, or similar platforms)
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and propose solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial work
Solid understanding of month-end and quarter-end close processes
Knowledge of GST, income tax compliance, and Indian financial reporting standards
Experience working in a multinational or large corporate environment (preferred)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Trustworthy, honest, responsible, and ethical approach to financial management
Quick learner with a willingness to adapt to new systems and processes
