Roles and Responsibilities
Provide technical guidance to team members to deliver project-specific outputs with expected quality and within defined timelines.
Generate new concepts and master sections for BIW components and systems.
Work on complete body systems such as doors, closures, and related sub‑assemblies.
Interpret engineering drawings related to panels, wiring harness packaging interfaces, and electrical peripherals.
Apply GD&T principles and support drawing generation for part manufacturing.
Support design and development of BIW components including joinery definitions, assembly sequence, and system integration.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
Take ownership of assigned components and sub‑assemblies, ensuring compliance with design requirements and manufacturing feasibility.
Skills and Experience Required
Qualification:
Diploma / BE / B.Tech / ME in Mechanical / Automobile / related discipline.
Strong proficiency in CATIA or Unigraphics (NX).
Good understanding of vehicle architecture (monocoque, space frame, cab‑on‑frame).
Ability to create and interpret master sections for BIW structures.
Knowledge of joinery definitions and assembly sequence for vehicle body systems.
Strong understanding of vehicle manufacturing and assembly processes.
Experience with BIW components, closures, and system‑level integration.
Familiarity with Digital Mock-Up (DMU) practices.
Ability to perform Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (D‑FMEA).
