Key Responsibilities
Evaluate the adequacy of input data and identify constraints for effective project planning.
Create and modify 3D models considering design environment, standards and validation requirements with stakeholders.
Ensure design robustness by incorporating architectural, process, and reference frame constraints.
Integrate 3D and 2D data into digital models, ensuring accurate positioning of components and fixings.
Verify completeness of design elements to support design approval and release processes.
Maintain and update work progress tracking sheets; ensure adherence to On-Time Delivery (OTD) and First-Time-Right (FTR) targets.
Design and develop exterior automotive components, specifically front and rear fascia systems.
Develop master sections and perform concept detailing independently.
Execute engineering projects across the full product lifecycle.
Create and modify CAD models and drawings using required CAD tools.
Provide design solutions for sheet metal and trim components.
Ensure achievement of Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) targets and alignment on technical specifications.
Lead and manage part development processes with suppliers and cross-functional development teams.
Define part acceptance criteria to ensure consistency in products, processes and services.
Prepare and maintain design documentation as per development standards and guidelines.
Skills and Experience Required
Experience Range:
4-9 years
Qualification:
B.E./ Diploma in Mechanical or Production or Industrial Engineering.
Good knowledge in UG-NX or CATIA V5 (preferably latest version)
Exposure to automotive engineering and design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Team orientation and willingness to learn new skills.
Experience of automotive plastic product design for front fascia, Cladding, Flares, spoiler, Quality check document.
