Key Responsibilities:
Design and development of gensets - Packaging and preparation of fitment drawings for different applications like PowerGen, Mining, Rail, Data centre applications.
3D CAD modelling and drawings of genset systems such as base-frame, acoustic enclosure (Canopy), cooling system, exhaust system, genset installations using Creo-Parametric, 2D layout drawings using AutoCAD.
Having a detailed involvement in genset product development and preferably supported genset testing will be appreciated.
Having involved in Team management for minimum of 4 years.
Customization and tailoring of genset packages for specific applications.
Plant layout design for genset installations. Design / sizing calculations, Selection of components, Centre of Gravity (CG), AVM stiffness calculation for AVM selection/calculation for gensets.
Air ventilation calculation Exhaust Back Pressure Calculation for exhaust pipe sizing. Co-ordinate with cross-functional teams, as required.
Designing sheet metal parts and complex assemblies.
Provide component design solutions at pace, which meet customer, design and regulatory requirements whilst managing the balance of key product attributes of cost, performance, Manufacturing constrains and delivery.
Produce solution drawings defining the requirements of your solution to enable our product definition group.
Produce detailed Design reports, which accurately describe your requirements, your design concepts, how the final concept was selected, requirements, risks and how the design will be verified and validated.
Create bill of materials, Create the documentation of work process, costing and calculations.
Review and document material specifications down to component level to satisfy various certification requirements.
Experience and Skills Required:
Graduation in Mechanical Engineering with 6 to 8 Years of suitable experience or associated branches.
Excellent skills on Creo-Parametric and AutoCAD a must.
Experience of EDM/PLM systems, preferably Windchill Mandatory
Experience in Genset/Diesel Genset/Generator design domain mandatory. Exposure to large genset installations preferred.
Experience in design to UL, CE and IEEE requirements will be preferred.
Exposure to simulations and design calculations for genset packages
Team Management skills include following:
Team management including work distribution
Resolve technical issues of the team and hands on support, as required.
Help team in case of technical doubts related to Creo and Genset design like manufacturing process, Assembly, Service, GD&T, Drawings views reading
Team growth, team member empowerment, grooming the engineers to enhance their technical skills.
Customer interaction for seamless projects delivery like ensuring OTD, quality (RFT)
Ability to work in a global team with excellent communication skills (both e-mail writing, verbal communication)
Should have capability to drive the multiple client account down the line
