Key Responsibilities:
Develop accurate and detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit BIM based on design inputs and technical specifications.
Create and manage BIM models for Genset installations and Balance of Plant (BOP) systems ensuring adherence to project and industry standards.
Revise existing CAD drawings and models based on change requests, redlines, or updated engineering requirements.
Collaborate with design engineers and Project Leaders to support the design process and resolve technical drawing issues.
Assist engineers by preparing basic layouts and performing simple calculations as per instructions.
Ensure all drawings and models comply with IS drafting standards and applicable codes.
Ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to engineering and CAD standards in all deliverables.
Work closely with project engineers, project leaders, consultants, and vendors for alignment and drawing finalization.
Maintain drawing version control, documentation logs, and ensure secure and structured drawing storage and archiving.
Skills and Experience Required:
Qualifications: Diploma/ BE / B. Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering.
2 to 4 years of experience in genset component design & detailing, genset layout detailing.
Design tool skills: AutoCAD- Expert level. Experience in Revit BIM will be added advantage.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, symbols, tolerances and GD&T.
Familiarity with genset components, genset systems, electrical routing layout planning, and associated BOP elements.
Experience in working with project management and PLM tools will be added advantage.
Ability to communicate design intent and coordinate with multiple stakeholders including engineers, consultants, and clients.
High attention to precision and compliance with documentation standards.
