About the Role -We're building immersive VR experiences of India's most sacred spaces — temples, garbh grihs, teerth sthals, and mythological environments. We need a 3D Generalist & Modeller who can work fast, leverage AI tools to compress timelines, and bring devotional spaces to life with accuracy and atmosphere.
By "Generalist & Modeller" we mean: modelling + texturing + UV + basic lighting + asset optimization + animations. You own the asset from concept reference to game-ready export.
What You'll Do
Model temples, garbh grihs, idols (murtis), architectural elements, and natural/celestial environments for VR
Build full 3D environments — interiors, exteriors, props, terrain
Use AI tools (Tripo, Meshy, Rodin, Hunyuan 3D, Sora/Kling/Runway for reference and animation) to accelerate production
Retopologize, optimize, and UV-unwrap AI-generated meshes for real-time VR use
Texture, light, and shade assets in Blender / Maya / 3ds Max
Build clean low-poly, game-ready assets that perform on Quest 2/3
Iterate fast — we ship weekly, not quarterly
Must-Have
1+ year of hands-on 3D modelling experience
Strong low-poly modelling skills — poly budgets, clean topology, efficient UVs, texture atlasing
Working knowledge of Tripo and at least one other AI 3D tool (Meshy / Rodin / Hunyuan / CSM)
AI-driven 3D animation workflows (rigging-free animation, motion transfer, etc.)
Comfortable learning new AI 3D tools as they emerge — this space moves monthly
Fast modelling — box modelling, kitbashing, sculpting fundamentals
Blender or Maya proficiency
Strong sense of proportion, scale, and architectural accuracy
Portfolio required — ArtStation / Behance / Drive link with at least 3 finished pieces. Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed.
Reverence for the subject matter — working on idols and garbh grihs requires respect for iconography (mudras, vahanas, ayudhas, proportions per Shilpa Shastra). These are not just assets, they are darshan.
Bonus
Unity/Unreal asset pipeline experience (FBX, glTF export, LODs)
Familiarity with Indian temple architecture (Nagara, Dravidian, Vesara styles)
Substance Painter / Designer
Lighting and rendering for cinematic stills
Photogrammetry / Gaussian Splatting experience
